CutCardStock Day

For my card today, I did a monochrome.  I LOVED this color, Vista Stardream Metallic [Blue], and wanted to totally show it off!

Isn't this such a pretty color!  I loved it so much, I ordered 2!  It embossed beautifully also.

On this photo, you can [some what]see the beautiful sheen this card stock has too.  I also used a small piece of the Textured Wedding  Cake.  They have such a great selection of  Metallic Colors.  I just adore how pretty my cards turn out.

See you next Saturday~

Addicted to CAS #287 - Christmas

 It's Christmas in July!  I have no problem getting started on this season's cards!

I used some CCS papers for this card; Wild Blueberry, Flash Red Glitter and Bright Foil Gold.  I attempted some gold foiling with a pre-printed label from GKD.  It looks much better IRL - photographing foil is awful!

First one of the Season!  Many to go~

Your turn!  Join in the challenge over at ATCAS #287, and get your stash started.

Just Us Girls Challenge #783 -Word Week

I'm the Hostess for this week's challenge.  I love me some water during the Summer!

Rather then literally creating water, I went with a more obscure look;

I used a stencil for my "river rock" effect with embossing.  I inked over the panel to highlight the "rocks".

I cut out the shell, highlighting for some depth, and then added a sentiment with the word water.  So, overall, this card does remind me of a creek bed, but the word water also works for the challenge. 😉

 Your turn!  There are so many ways to incorporate this word of the week.  I'm looking forward to seeing the gallery!

I hope you join in the fun~

Simon Says Monday Challenge - Paint

I saw the Simon Says Monday Challenge using paint and totally had to jump in!  I have a huge [gift] of acrylic paints my friend gave me and this is the perfect opportunity to use at least a few of the colors.  Using paint is like using a gel plate - one you get the product out, you can't just make 1!  So, I made 3.

Here they are all together;

At one pint in time a fellow stamper told me how you can add more then 1 image [into a challenge] from the same blog post.  So, I entered all 3 cards over at Simon Says Monday Challenge:

I adore doing abstract art when using my paints.  Adding in some geographical lines is the frosting on the cake card! 😉

Because I wanted the "art" to show, I kept the sentiment to a minimum.  [I do love the sentiment strips from Simon Says I must say!]

I used a bigger [glitter] sentiment, and while it works, I am partial to show more of the actual card panel.

Okay, that was a fun break from working on DT work -  I gotta get back to it now...

Elizabeth Craft Designs Day

I have a fun mini slimline card for today!  I really love the CAS look of this one.

I used Everyday Elements Picture Frames & Mats Dies, Fresh Fruit Dies, and Phrases & Dingbats Stamp Set for the sentiment.

Sponging the die cuts make them have so much depth!  Love that trick.

See you next Monday~

Instagram Hop - Gorgeous Gift Tags

It's the 5th of the month [already!] and that means its time for the fun IG Hop of Gorgeous Gift Tags.  There was an option of using stencils, I passed.  I had this [so much fun] stamp set from Colorado Craft Company, Big & Bold Citrus Berry Cupcake [and matching dies] sitting on my desk, and it screamed at me - "Hang me from a gift bag, as a tag"!  Well, I did just that!

I wanted a fun, bright colored cupcake that would stand out against my white gift bag.  Goal accomplished!

You can see the rest of the hop HERE.  There are a lot of participates this month.

CutCardStock Day

I do adore being on this team!  The choice of colored card stock they carry is pretty extensive.  The cost comparison is much cheaper too.  I can get behind that!

I went for some softer colors for today's card; Lagoon Stardream Metallic, Jet Stream Blue,and  Dolphin Gray.

I'm happy with this one 😀

See you next week~
